2020 Carinus Chenin blanc
Sourced from Hugo Carinus's farm in Malmesbury and produced for the Carinus Family Vineyards venture by renowned local winemaker Lukas van Loggerenberg.
Vibrant upfront aromas of peaches, orange zest, crisp green apple, white flowers and honeycomb with a little bit of a savory soft white cheese rind note.
The palate is dry with just enough acidity, medium bodied with flavours that follow through perfectly from the nose and end in a long chalky finish.
This wine is drinking perfectly now but can be kept for upwards of three years from harvest date under ideal conditions.
Serve between 8℃ - 10℃, in a tulip shaped white wine glass, will work well with a variety of white meat and vegetarian dishes, particularly with delicate aromatic spices, being careful to avoid foods very high in acidity or sweetness.
