Angus Paul Transient Lands 2021

W.O. Western Cape. Pinotage.

Bright purple in colour. With a nose dominated by a mélange of raspberry, red cherry, blackcurrant and lychee on a backdrop of delicate rose petal perfume with the faintest vegetative hint of crushed undergrowth.

The palate is dry, medium-bodied, with red and black fruit that translates perfectly from the nose, ending in along satisfying finish, with a combination of both dense, velvety and grippy stalky tannin that is sure to integrate seamlessly with another few months in the bottle.  

This is a very good wine that can be drunk now but will continue to improve with upwards of seven years of careful cellaring.
