W.O. Bottelary. Chenin Blanc.
Pronounced primary aromas of ripe peaches, yellow pear and guava harmoniously balanced to a rich farm butter undertone.
The palate is bone dry but with that pleasantly deceptive hint of sweat fruit from the Botterlary Chenin. Medium-bodied with flavours of peaches, pears, a hint of pineapple and a youthful honeyed note, with a creamy texture that coats the palate and lingers.
Even though treated almost identically in the cellar this wine is remarkably different from its Polkadraai counterpart, really highlighting the importance of Terroir. And a very good wine in its own right.
This wine can be drunk now but will benefit from upwards of seven years of careful cellaring.
